Gaston Mercier's Horse saddle Pads : A necessity for a complete high performance package.
Felt and ameliorated for more than 20 years, our saddle Pads are a reference in term of solidity, protection and maintenance.
All our saddle Pads are endowed with more rigid yokes in ends to assure the keeping of the saddle and avoid slidings.
Besides, they are opened on the high party, bringing a better adaptation to the different morphologies of back of the horses, a better ventilation under the saddle and a reduction of the wear of the saddle Pads in the centre because there are no more pressures of dressmaking.

Choice of material in contact with the horse
1 - WOOL OF SHEEP
Carded wool is weaved on a woof in stocking stitch, any double on a robust cloth armed with a flexible foam.
Thick and soft for horses in the delicate skin, wool is a thermal insulating material.
New : A natural wool pad that is machine washable.
2 - SYMPAMOUSSE
Experimented by Gaston Mercier since the 80', it is a flexible structure (20 years of use) with excellent waterproof and breathable properties, that allows rapid evaporation and evacuation of sweat, in any case of use (Long riding, Endurance, Trail Riding, Trec, Flat Work, Training).

Made for the horse saddle with little Skirts :

For those horse saddles, a leather protection on the saddle pad is necessary in order to limit the slidings.

The Wool Shabrack has a rectangular form in order to protect the saddle bags, and for some saddles with specific shirts such as :

Sorbothane shock absorbers (optional)
With a Thickness of 4 mm, the Sorbothane shock absorbers procure a good protection for the horse back and an excellent absorption of shocks.
- Weight : 520 gr. for 2 shock absorbers

Other shock absorber (optional)
This shock absorber, with a Thickness of 10 mm, is used to maintain the saddle. It allows a better use for all type of horse back.
